Zadar region
Situated in the heart of the Adriatic coast, Zadar region takes 14% of the total territory of Croatia. This very attractive destination offers traces of rich history, as well as splendid natural sights.
Zadar region covers 8066.91 m2 of area with more than 200 islands, from which 17 are inhabited.

Due to its fantastic natural position with the four National Parks surrounding it: Plitvice Lakes, Paklenica mountain, the unique Rivera Krka waterfalls and a string of wondrous islands called Kornati, as well as closeness of several parks of nature: Telasnica, Lake Vrana, canyons of Zrmanja and Krupa Rivers Zadar region each year attracts more and more tourists.
Plitvice Lakes
Plitvice Lakes, UNESCO declared World’s nature inheritance, comprise 16 connected lakes, situated between mountains of Mala Kapela and Pljesivica. Total area of the National Park Plitvice is 29.685,15 ha.
Uniqueness of this natural phenomenon together with various shapes and colours in any season, as well as recreational aspect and natural tranquillity are just some of the attributes of attraction of this unique hydro geological phenomenon of karsts.



Paklenica
National Park of Paklenica covers area of 95 m2, and with rich intact nature, unique diversity of geomorphologic forms and very attractive landscape is situated on the south side of Velebit mountain.
The most valuable parts of the park are two canyons Velika and Mala Paklenica and the highest peak of Paklenica is Vaganski vrh (1.757 m).
For visitors, searching the more active vacation, this is the perfect place for climbing, hiking or cycling.
River Krka
The national park of Krka is in closeness of Zadar region, only 1 hour drive by car, but actually it belongs to Sibenik county. It has area of 109 m2 and it is well known by its estuary which is considered as a unique phenomenon due to its clean water and biological vitality.
Two most famous places to visit on the River Krka are Roski slap and Skradinski buk.


Kornati
Kornati archipelago the indented group of islands on the Adriatic coast is situated in the middle of Adriatic Sea. It covers the area of 220 km2, and includes 89 islands, islets and reefs. The value of Kornati archipelago lies in its landscape, unique relief structure, splendid sea geomorphology and very rich underwater life.
This area attracts yachtsman and scuba divers form all over the world due to exceptional beauty of marine nature.
